Hi Julia! Well, it depends... if I'm reading an easy romance, it'll take two days tops. I usually read about 2-3 books a week. If it's nonfiction, it's probably about a week but sometimes less. It takes longer because I want to really let the thoughts sink in. :)

One thing I learn about you, Alice is that you are a fast reader. Just how long does it take you to finish a book?

Agree with you about lending someone books only to get the books return to you in not the same condition when it was borrowed. Why can't people take care books they borrow in the same manners that they weren't want someone to do to their books. Or even if they don't care about the condition of their books, why can't they respect the owner books that they borrowed?

I have similar problems when I loan out books sometimes. I wish people had more respect for other people's property. If I borrowed someone's car I would return it--and in the same condition it was given to me. Maybe even filled up with gas and washed as a thank you. Why can't people treat our books that way? Without the washing, of course. Books don't take too kindly to soap and water.
