#44 My Personalized Notebooks I

I’m a big fan of notebooks and am always on the lookout for interesting ones to collect. And use, of course. Lately, I’ve been thinking about creating and personalizing my own notebooks so that I have a ‘standard’ collection instead of a ‘rojak’ compilation. This thought has been brewing in my head for a few months now.

I write a lot, jot down quotes from the books I read, thoughts and ideas about my personal projects, travel jottings, and of course, for work too. Having a consistent look throughout—I know—will make me a happier person, and so, begins the quest to create my own series of notebooks.

For this notebook project, I chose Shutterfly, where I can:
  1. Personalize the cover with my photos.
  2. Choose from available layout templates.
The notebook features are pretty cool too.
  1. Black coil binding
  2. 150 lined pages
  3. Measures 5x8” (A5)

My design preference is always clean and simple. Earthy tones. Rustic. I chose two photos from my collection, selected my layout template, finetuned the design, and placed my order for five each. The first photo, I believe, was taken in Singapore and the second one was taken in Rome, Italy. I’m pleased with the result and I look forward to receiving the items!
