#16 Happy New Year 2019!
|On standby to switch to the new (Swedish) calendar for the new year! Lisa Larson 2019 Kalender|
This is my final post for 2018. It's a good year. I started anew with my blog (this one) on my birthday and archived the old one from 2005.
On foreign languages, I've made good progress with my Swedish language self-study and completed the book I'm using, Swedish Tutor: Grammar and Vocabulary Workbook. There are 20 units in the book and looking back, I began studying Unit 1 on 11 December 2017. It's been slightly over a year!
One of my goals for 2019 is to make further progress with my Swedish, so having equipped myself with the foundation, I hope to muster the courage to speak and write it. Soooo... broken Swedish and soon-to-be good Swedish, here I come!
On reading, I set a challenge for myself on Goodreads.com to read 50 books in 2018. I've read 41 books, so I'm nine books short. I have not been reading as much as I'd like to, but it's still good. I'm keeping this reading challenge for 2019 and on top of that, I want to get back into my book review regime too.
Hello, 2019! It will be a year of focusing on themes such as mindfulness, art and photography, and of course, foreign languages (with emphasis on Swedish). I'm grateful to be able to share all these with you. Here's to an awesome, fantabulous 2019!
