Throwback Thursday (TBT): Circular Train @ Yangon, Myanmar

Yangon, Myanmar, is an unforgettable place. For this TBT, I'd like share some snapshots from my 5-hour circular train ride. It was an awesome experience to be in the train with the locals!

So many activities were happening in there and it's like a mobile supermarket with people selling vegetables, eggs, all types of fruit (I particularly liked the watermelon lady), brooms, and so many other things. You will also see the locals loading and unloading sacks of fresh produce onto and off the train, sorting vegetables onboard... Truly amazing.

I actually went onto the wrong train (a linear one instead of the circular) and because of that I decided to disembark at one of the stations (Gyogon), which is about five stations before the circular train makes "the turn". It's a good thing I had mobile data, so I was watching the blue dot on my Google map as I journeyed along. It was when the blue dot went past the circular line and in a linear manner all the way to the final station, then headed back to Yangon in the same straight line that I knew I was on the wrong train.

All's well, ends well!
