| Even Malaysians need passport to enter Sabah! |
This West Malaysian (me) very nearly forgot to bring my passport for this trip. I vaguely remembered from my past trip to East Malaysia (Sabah) that passport is needed. So I played safe and brought it along.
My Sabahan friend (also former colleague) later told me that I could also enter Sabah with my Malaysian identity card, but the Immigration will issue a slip which must be returned upon exit. However, with my passport, no slip will be issued.
I look forward to a wonderful day a few more hours later. For now, it's time to catch some sleep! A dopo!
