All of a sudden, I'm so broke (life takes a sudden turn, and yes, you have to "re-strategize"), so I only decided to check-in my flights and go ahead with this trip after weighing all the pros and cons. I have the following two options:
- Don't go and forfeit hundreds of Ringgits for the Penang-Kuala Lumpur-Kota Kinabalu-Kuala Lumpur-Penang flights, OR
- Go to AirAsia.com and change date of flights to some dates in the future. The thing is, that'll cost me another few hundred Ringgits (naturally, this is a no-go option for me).
In the end, I decided to suck it up and proceed as planned. I'll be sleeping at the airport for the trip back to Penang, because I arrive at Kuala Lumpur almost midnight. I am actually looking forward to this because apparently many backpackers do the same thing. I will not be alone.

Sometimes I blame my quasi-hippy mindset. I've been labeled as unstable, volatile and somewhat crazy, but what the heck. I'm also a creature of routine, if you don't already know that. One can't make the "wise" or "right" decisions all the time, but if no one makes mistakes, then what is the point of being alive?
Alice, i'll be in KK to this August for climbing the mount :)
ReplyDeleteFaisal, best! Happy climbing! Take lots of photos and wave them at us. Haha!

DeleteI'm behind in my blog reading but hoping you enjoyed your adventure. Life is too short to not take advantage of these travel opportunities. Sometimes we just need to do it!
