More on JANUARY: Boost Happiness (The Happiness Project)

As part of January's plan to live energetically, and of course, happily, I am blessed to have a great friend (Ty) who also share the same passion of eating healthfully and so we spent some time picking up the good stuff to feed ourselves. For example, today. It was a happy after-work outing of dinner and walking around the mall and grocery shopping.

I ran out of "rabbit food" and replenished stock on garlic, tomatoes, zucchinis, potatoes and couscous. I really do feel the difference when I made it a point to eat fresh foods such as salad. Shopping for them was even more fun, especially when done with a friend who knows what he's talking about when he talks about cooking. (I still can't cook to save my life.)

I brought home this cute, stuffed kitty key chain. I couldn't resist it. This is a Valentine's present I gave myself. Meow~

Coffee with a friend, chit-chat, shopping—they're all great for your well being and definitely contributes to energetic living. Quoting Rubin (p.35), To feel more energetic, I applied one of my twelve Commandments: "Act the way I want to feel." This commandment sums up one of the most helpful insights that I'd learned in my happiness research: although we presume that we act because of the way we feel, in fact we often feel because of the way we act.

Start with the basics and see the rest of the everything slowly fall into place. I am going to un-complicate my life.
