Wordless Wednesday: Life at Chew Jetty, Penang

Chew Jetty is one of the six clan jetties that forms part of Penang Heritage Trail. Chew Jetty has the longest walkway and the most number of houses built on stilts in the water. My sister Cat and I spent almost three hours in the sun (we got tanned following this visit!) and it was fun, fun, fun!

A unique mailbox recycled from a biscuit tin.

Watching the TV. The residents here are used to people, especially tourists, looking into their homes.

An elderly lady resting in front of her house.

Houses on the sea.

An elderly man on bicycle passing through.

There are temples, hair salon, and other shops too.

A small grocery shop decorated with mini flags of Malaysia.

Me and the houses built on stilts in the water.

A fisherman returning from the sea

I hope you have enjoyed this week's Wordless Wednesday!
