Jo Lau from Singapore (residing in Penang) and Alice Teh from Kuala Lumpur (residing in Penang) finally met! Mrs Teh and Ms Teh (me!) were at the Blogfest Asia 2010 event on Friday night for its welcome dinner. The story of how I came to know Jo is here in my Joan Hon Book Talk post. She brought her son along and he's utterly cute, chatty and very smart. He's not shy at all. It was fun meeting with them!
I was here!
Bloggers at QEII. The weather that night was good considering that it had been raining almost every evening.
Here's an exclusive short Q&A with Jo's boy—let's call him 5,000-year-old for privacy reasons. (Mommy went to inform Daddy where we were, and Aunty Alice gladly took on the babysitter role):
Me: How old are you, young man?
5,000-year-old: Five...
Me: Why then does your mommy calls you 5,000-year-old?
5,000-year-old: She's joking... (and gave me a toothy smile)
Lastly, in case you are curious to know where QEII is located, here's the address: Tanjung City Marina, Church St. Pier, 8A Pengkalan Weld, 10300 Penang, MALAYSIA.

This looks like a totally fun event. So glad you were able to meet; the pictures are very nice as well.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad at least that you got to meet some nice people. The photos are wonderful.

ReplyDeleteThank you, Andrea! All the best in your new job! It took me almost three months to get things coming back to normal in the blogging world. I am still terribly behind in visiting my blog friends but I will eventually whittle down the backlog. ^^
