It's Kindle Day for Alice Teh!

Today is a particularly relaxing day for me. My Saturday plan is to lounge on my sofa and finish up Elaine Fox's Special of the Day. The book is about an ex-model Roxanne Rayeaux who moves back to Virginia to open a French bistro, and meets with Steve Serrano who is a sexy (and brainy) bartender at the pub Roxanne bought over. There's some interesting tension between them and I like what I'm reading so far. Well, at least that's the reading plan, but I ended up playing with my Kindle instead.

In which Alice downloaded some books into her Kindle, including Mockingjay
I don't know why it took me so long to realize that I could have read Mockingjay on my Kindle. So I bought and downloaded it to my Kindle today. I've already placed an order for the book some time back, but there's no harm getting a Kindle edition too. The book, upon arrival in the mail, will join the first two books of the Hunger Games trilogy on my bookshelves.

I also downloaded a boatload of free books. There are some really interesting titles out there. Thrillers, romance, paranormal, self-help, and many more. The trick now is to read 'em.

In which Alice shops for Kindle cover and skin
In full Kindle fever, I did some shopping for its cover and skin. I already have the classy Moleskine cover (it's a gorgeous thing, this Moleskine cover), but I have always wanted a fancy skin and a fancy cover, but they don't deliver out of the US. Since I'm going there end of this year, I went on a shopping spree. These are the stuff I bought:
  1. GelaSkins Protective Kindle Skin (Almond Branches in Bloom)
  2. CaseCrown Double Memory Foam Pouch Case (Antique Map)
  3. Silicone Skin Case Gel Cover (Clear)
Have you noticed something similar about this skin and my blog? *hint hint* This skin is so pretty!
This is a rather nice poach. I like its casual and classy look with antique map design. And it's also got an earthy color, which I totally dig. It's got a place to place the USB cable and charger, so that's a great plus point.

Both sets of pictures are from Amazon.com.

In which Alice upgrades her Kindle
Lastly, I updated my Kindle software to version 2.5. More about this here.
