Mailbox Monday

I'm on time for this week's Mailbox Monday (HURRAH!) because this time, I scheduled the post. Mailbox Monday is a weekly meme hosted by Marcia at The Printed Page and it's one of my favorites. So here are the books I received in the mail two or three weeks ago before I left my previous company:

I received an ARC (Advance Reading Copy) of Karen E. Olson's latest novel in the A Tattoo Shop Mystery series, Driven to Ink. I am thrilled because I have been following the first two installments and want to know what the tattoo artist Brett Kavanaugh is up to now or has gotten herself into this time. I'm currently at Chapter 28 (page 136) of the book. Thanks for the book, Karen!

Driven to Ink by Karen E. Olson (ISBN: 9780451231574). Las Vegas is a rocking place where impersonators of the legendary Rat Pack--Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Sammy Davis Jr.--are alive and well and performing nightly at clubs all over town. Except they're not all. Alive, that is.

When Brett lends her car to Sylvia Coleman and Bernie Applebaum for a drive-through wedding, she's not expecting to get it back with a dead body in the trunk--much less one who looks like Dean Martin and sports a clip cord from a tattoo machine around his neck.

As for the newlyweds, they vanish before they can start their honeymoon, so Brett and Jeff, Sylvia's son, go undercover as bride and groom to sniff out the rat who seems to be targeting the impersonators. Whatever's going on, it's not

I also received the following book from Dar of Peeking Between the Pages (thanks, Dar!). Don't forget to check out her review of the book.

Holly's Inbox by Holly Denham (ISBN: 9781402219030). It's Holly Denham's first day as a receptionist at a busy corporate bank, and frankly, it's obvious she can't quite keep up.

Take a peek at her email and you'll see why: what with her crazy friends, dysfunctional family, and gossipy co-workers, Holly's inbox is a daily source of drama. Laughter, friendship, and romantic interludes keep her going, until one day, Holly's secret past begins to catch up with her...

And you know what? I also won a book (The Plan A Woman in a Plan B World by Debbie Taylor Williams) at Renee's blog! Thank you, Renee! As you can see, I am one happy girl.
