Mailbox Monday

I'm so late for my Mailbox Monday this week, but then again, I wanted to dedicate yesterday to Memorial Day. Mailbox Monday is a weekly meme hosted by Marcia at The Printed Page and needless to say, it's one of my favorites. I was greeted in the office with the arrival of books I'd won from Renee at her book giveaways, and as always, she's very generous in throwing in a few bonuses along the way, including this round. Here's what I got from Renee in the mail:

An Absence So Great by Jane Kirkpatrick (ISBN: 9781578569816). While growing in confidence as a photographer, eighteen-year-old Jessie Ann Gaebele's personal life is at a crossroads. Hoping she's put an unfortunate romantic longing behind her as "water under the bridge," she exiles herself to Milwaukee to operate photographic studios for those owners who have fallen ill with mercury poisoning.

Jessie gains footing in her dream to one day operate her own studio and soon finds herself in other Midwest towns, pursuing her profession. But even a job she loves can't keep painful memories from seeping into her heart when the shadows of a forbidden love threaten to darken the portrait of her life.

The bonus books

  1. The Man You'll Marry (ISBN: 9780778327837)
  2. Fairy Tale Weddings (ISBN: 9780778327028), both by Debbie Macomber

At the point of writing this post, Renee informed that I've won yet another book, The Last Christian, from her giveaway. I'm so blessed! Thank you, Renee!
