I'm a bad girl and I've not been updating the progress of my participation of Trish's 100 Mile Fitness Challenge. The three-month challenge ended in December 2009 and I'm happy to announce that I walked more than 100 miles, which I believe to be around 120 miles! YAY!So how did I accomplish this? All I did was walk for an hour on the treadmill at the gym for at least three days in a week. Before I know it, I accumulated the miles and did not even blink. It was actually quite easy!
I'm ready to give the challenge another go and it's great that Trish has decided to host the second round of the challenge from January 1st, 2010 through the end of March. I'm so participating in this! To all who are also participating in ROUND TWO, ALL THE BEST TO A FITTER YOU!

ReplyDeleteWay to go Alice! It sounded overwhelming initially, but you are right, it is actually quite easy. (Rudi, round two is another hundred miles!) I actually set higher personal goals for myself, just to make it a bigger challenge!

Hi Sandy! Thanks very much! I think I'll follow your example of going for higher mileage. Let's see if I can exceed 150 miles and if I can, go all the way to 200. You're the woman!
Thanks, Kathy! 2010 is a year that I would focus more on physical fitness. It's time for me to get back on track.

ReplyDeleteCongrats on finishing the challenge! I just deleted the last participants' miles for today's new progress report but I don't think I had you updated. :( Sorry about that!
ReplyDeleteI also wanted to point out that any type of exercise works for the challenge--you don't have to just walk! :) (I get bored with walking/running).
Best wishes and thanks for signing up again,
Trish
Thanks, Julia! I hope to do better this year. :D
ReplyDeleteHi Trish, don't worry about it. I love walking so that's what I'm going to do. LOL!
