My book read count increased this month due to 6 manga read and therefore, completing the Manga Challenge hosted by Rhinoa. That means, I only read 6 full-length books last month. Although not many, I had a good time with them. I suspect December is going to be an even slower month for me because--no prize for guessing--it's the holiday seasons!

Here's wishing all happy reading and happy holiday (way in advance)!

That is a healthy reading month! Yes, I fear December is going to bring issues in the reading department for me. Actually, I'm pretty far ahead on my reading and reviewing. I've got December pretty filled up already, with the exception of a "Best of" post and a couple of reviews. I've decided that nobody is going to read anything around Christmas, so I'm going to keep the posts to a minimum that week. Even Thanksgiving week was really slow, and not everyone celebrates that!

You've a great reading month, Alice! And it looks like Dec will be a slow reading month for me too, hehe.

Thanks, Sandy! I can see you'll be very busy in December. I'm going by the same approach as yours for my blog. :)

Thanks, Melody! I think that's going to be the same for most of us.

Thanks, Kathy! I had fun with the manga challenge. :D

Looks like you had a good month. My reading is going to slow a lot in December, too.

I've read the very last one but I am not familiar with the others. Good work!

I think you had a good reading month and your year is great too with over 100 books read. I'm not sure I want to do my count because I know I will be disappointed!

Well, quality over quantity :D

Book Talk

"Books give us pleasure not because they make us comfortable, though some good ones may, but because they entertain us, they make us laugh, they make us cry; they inform, persuade, disturb, convince, seduce us; they make us think, speculate, see - and we recognize what we see as true, not as the truth but as a truth in the writer's fabulous construction that corresponds to what we have observed in ourselves, or others, or in the world at large, or can conceive of observing."
