Lunch at GARDEN Lifestyle Store and Cafe, 1 Utama (AND, Amber Chia Spotted!)

I had fun today meeting up at 1 Utama with Irene and Eunis to celebrate Irene's belated birthday. Irene was interested in trying GARDEN Lifestyle Store and Cafe. I've been there twice so the place is not new to me. My last visit there was in July this year. As usual, I took some photos!

The cafe has a nice ambiance. We were early so the lunch crowd were not there yet.
Yours truly with the birthday girl
Eunis with Irene
(Thanks for the treat, Eunis!)
Irene and I ordered the spaghetti set lunch. It's a tad spicy and the prawns were fresh and juicy. The portion's just nice and satisfying. Eunis ordered fillet fish set lunch (not in picture). The set lunches come with soup of the day and drinks such as iced lemon tea, coffee or tea.
For dessert we ordered the orange mango sorbet (the orange skin below was frosted) and...
...lemon cheese cake

After lunch, we went for a bit of window shopping. I wanted to buy my sports gear but unfortunately, the hiking shoes that I wanted were not available. Even Nike's out of stock. So instead of buying my stuff, Irene and Eunis went shopping at the Jusco supermarket.

While we were walking around, we spotted Amber Chia, Malaysia's supermodel and actress, at the PHILIPS Iron Your Way To Be A Star Contest. Check out its Facebook page too.

Last but not least, I have a Christmas Book Giveaway coming up soon, so please stay tuned! Happy weekend!

Hi Sandy! I'm in total agreement with you. There is nothing like good food and good friends.

Simon chai, you can bring Bear Lui go kai-kai there one day. :)

Yes, it is, Naida!

Thanks, Beth! I'm glad you like the pics. It was a fun day. :D

You're welcome, Diane! It's a good place to dine but it gets a bit "off" when the place gets busy.

Book Talk

"Books give us pleasure not because they make us comfortable, though some good ones may, but because they entertain us, they make us laugh, they make us cry; they inform, persuade, disturb, convince, seduce us; they make us think, speculate, see - and we recognize what we see as true, not as the truth but as a truth in the writer's fabulous construction that corresponds to what we have observed in ourselves, or others, or in the world at large, or can conceive of observing."
