I won! I won! Not one but two book giveaways...

Guess what, friends? I've won TWO books from two book giveaways hosted by Dar of Peeking Between the Pages and Melody of Melody's Reading Corner!!! This really means a lot to me because I'm still on a book-buying ban (BBB) and am so looking forward to receiving these two books. Thanks, Dar! Thanks, Melody!

The Last Will of Moira Leahy by Therese Walsh (Giveaway at Dar's)

Fishing for Bacon by Michael Davis (Giveaway at Melody's)

I've only just announced the two winners on my own Christmas Book Giveaway on Monday and now I am blessed with two books. Gotta love us!

Fishing for Bacon sounds like a funny title for a book. I'll have to check back to see what you think about it.

Same thoughts here, Catherine. LOL!

Book Talk

"Books give us pleasure not because they make us comfortable, though some good ones may, but because they entertain us, they make us laugh, they make us cry; they inform, persuade, disturb, convince, seduce us; they make us think, speculate, see - and we recognize what we see as true, not as the truth but as a truth in the writer's fabulous construction that corresponds to what we have observed in ourselves, or others, or in the world at large, or can conceive of observing."
