FLY FM 4th Flyniversary 2009 (Before 8 p.m.)

What an overdue post this is! 2 weeks ago, I was at the FLY FM 4th Flyniversary concert with my friends. I was blessed with a VVIP pass, thanks to my colleague Izza. Together with her and two others, we met at 1 Utama where the concert was held. It was raining but it didn’t stop the crowd from enjoying themselves. Heck, I enjoyed myself.

We launched into a mini photo op and you’ll see lots of our photos as you scroll down. It was fun. I wasn’t aware that the concert was divided into two parts. It started at 4 p.m., and then stopped to be resumed at 8 p.m. I had to leave by 7 p.m. to celebrate my mom’s birthday at home. So what you see below is what happened between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. (I missed out on the free flow of beer and Johnny Walker Black Label at the VVIP booth because they’re not served until 8 p.m.!). See more photos in Facebook.

Guess who I met at the concert? My sister Cat's friend, Laytheng! I liked the purple tube dress she's wearing.
My friends at the registration booth, but it turned out that there was a separate one for VVIPs like us (ahem! haha...)
We've got VVIP passes
Adam (the dude holding a piece of paper) with his fellow FLY FM radio announcers
The gang: Simon, Pri (left) and Izza
Outside the VVIP tent
Us, so pretty!
The crowd's forming and the show's about to start
Me fooling around (and Simon played with my camera)
Then I caught them "pointing fingers" at each other. Kids!!
The FLY FM radio announcers
Electrifying... The local band Couple
Photo op with Nadia (second from left) of FLY FM
I love guitarist!
The crowd enjoying themselves
I spotted another fellow photographer. I like his pink shirt and hat. I shot blind a lot on that day, just like him. I guess we love doing that. LOL!
James Baum took to the stage
He sang with all his heart
His backup dancers and performers
Here's another closer shot of James
Simon is a gentleman. He covered Izza's head from the rain.
It's time for... T-SHIRT GIVEAWAY!
Everybody wants it! *Hands stretch out high*
After that, the cute Shila came on stage. She's cool and was unfazed by the rain.
She did a good job with Pixie Lott’s Mama Do
This is the view from our VVIP tent. It's away from the main crowd and stage. One Buck Short was performing.
The photo above and this one below were taken by Simon. I took a break and handed my camera to him to play.
We went backstage! Wheee~~
I entered the crew tent and folks were having their dinner there. The food smelled good and I was tempted to join in...

All right. That's all I have for you. The place was jam packed with cars. My jeans were wet but I don't care. I was wet but had so much fun! It's been a while since I last played in the rain and I think we all should. It's super nice!
