Shutter Island

Shutter Island
By Dennis Lehane
Publisher: Harper
Published: 2009 (Movie Tie-In Edition)
ISBN-13: 9780061703256
369 pages

U.S. Marshal Teddy Daniels and his partner, Chuck Aule, are shipped off to Shutter Island to investigate the disappearance of a criminally insane patient, Rachel Solando. There is no way of escaping the tightly guarded facility but the multiple murderess did it. However, the case is not what it appears to be. Teddy faces huge challenges in his investigation. Watch out for the plot twist at the end—it shocked me. It is unputdownable; a page-turner. It offers never-ending surprises and I want to read it the second time to look at the clues all over again.

Note:
I'm going to start writing 100-word book reviews with immediate effect in an effort to keep up with my review pool. I will still do full-length reviews from time to time whenever time permits (and definitely for the author blog tours I'm participating in). Economy is key!

  10. Hi Jen, I heard the movie is pushed back to Feb 2010. I hope you don't mean that it's now pushed even further because I really can't wait to watch it.

Ah yes, Julia... I hope you'll catch this one but if you don't, that's OK too because I know you love romance novels more than anything else. :D

  12. *LOL* Correction: I like 'romance suspense' genres. %50 of romance and %50 of suspense for one book. I can read thriller books or just suspense books, but just depend on the stories. But you right, I love romance novel *grin* *LOL*
