Celebrating Eunis's Birthday @ Pasta Zanmai, Mid Valley Megamall

Today is a happy day of shopping, chatting and dining with friends. Irene and I met up with our ex-colleague, Eunis, to celebrate her birthday. It's really good to see her again!

The first round of eating was at "My Toast" (a kopitiam style eatery) because Irene and I hadn't had our breakfast, so I ordered nasi lemak and coffee, while Irene had chi cheong fan and tea, and Eunis had only coffee because she ate before joining us. What a great time of catching up with each other!

I bought books at MPH (yes, yes, I know I should be "managing" my Mount TBR, but.. *hangs head in shame*). I only bought five:

  1. Shutter Island by Dennis Lehane
  2. Catch-22 by Joseph Heller
  3. Inkdeath by Cornelia Funke
  4. The Brothers Karamazov by Fyodor Dostoevsky
  5. Black Hills by Nora Roberts
Let's come back to Eunis's birthday. After all the shopping (round two after our lunch but then it was Irene and Eunis, and they both bought very nice tops), we filled our tummies at Pasta Zanmai. Here are some of the pictures I took there...

@ Pasta Zanmai
Nice dining environment and you would be able to see that lots of young people dine there with their friends
Irene (left) with Eunis, the birthday girl
Refillable hot green tea in teapot
Eunis's Chicken Hotate Piza (MYR22 or ~US$6)
--The pizza taste pretty good with succulent scallop
My Spicy Plain Pasta (MYR11 or ~US$3)
--It'll taste better if you sprinkle more black pepper and chili powder (which I only did toward the end)
Irene's Hamburger pasta (MYR23 or ~US$6)
Itachoco Monaka (MYR8 or ~US$2)
The tempting-licious Choco Banana (MYR15 or ~US$4)
--Lots of corn flakes in the middle
Restaurant Information:
Address: Lot F-051, First Floor, Mid Valley Megamall, Mid Valley City, Lingkaran Syed Putra, 59200 Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA

What I liked about the restaurant:
  • Great ambiance and spacious
  • Helpful and friendly staff (I'd like it even more if the supervisor would smile more)
  • The desserts look mighty tempting
What I disliked about the restaurant: A tad pricey...

My conclusion: I would return to try the other food on the menu even though the price is on the higher end.
