UNESCO World Book Day, a Book Fair and a Warehouse Sale

To all booklovers and avid readers:
(I like the above bright and colourful poster from UNESCO)

23 April is a symbolic date for world literature for on this date and in the same year of 1616, Cervantes, Shakespeare and Inca Garcilaso de la Vega all died. It is also the date of birth or death of other prominent authors such as Maurice Druon, K.Laxness, Vladimir Nabokov, Josep Pla and Manuel Mejía Vallejo. It was a natural choice for UNESCO's General Conference to pay a world-wide tribute to books and authors on this date, encouraging everyone, and in particular young people, to discover the pleasure of reading and gain a renewed respect for the irreplaceable contributions of those who have furthered the social and cultural progress of humanity. Floorplan of the book fair

I would like to visit the Kuala Lumpur International Book Fair (KLIBF) at Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) this weekend. This would be my FIRST time visiting it even though it has been around for 28 years. The book fair runs from 17 to 26 April 2009. Have YOU visited the book fair or planned to?

Coming up next is the MPH Distributors Warehouse Sale from 28 April to 3 May. It is opened from 9 AM to 7 PM located at Bangunan TH, No. 5 Jalan Bersatu, Section 13/4, 46200 Petaling Jaya, Selangor. I'm not sure if I'd be going for this one, though.

Here are some of my recent warehouse raids:
