Roald Dahl Reading Marathon

I bought five Roald Dahl books after my haircut last Saturday. I got them at 20% discount from POPULAR, a bookshop just a few doors away from my stylist's. These titles had been on my wish list after reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, so when I saw the discounts I grabbed 'em.

I'm also doing something different this time by listing down the books' first sentences. Here you go:

In fairy-tales, witches always wear silly black hats and black cloaks, and they ride on broomsticks. (The Witches, ISBN: 978-0-141-32264-3)

Until he was four years old, James Henry Trotter had a happy life. (James and the Giant Peach, ISBN: 978-0-141-32263-6)

The last time we saw Charlie, he was riding high above his home town in the Great Glass Lift. (Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator, ISBN: 978-0-141-32269-8)

It's a funny thing about mothers and fathers. (Matilda, ISBN: 978-0-141-32266-7)

Sophie couldn't sleep. (The BFG, ISBN: 978-0-141-32262-9)
I'm toying with the idea of a "Roald Dahl Reading Marathon" this weekend by finishing all the five books. This is going to be fun!

Oh, oh... before I forget, in celebration of World Book Day, POPULAR is giving away a FREE Exclusive Memo Pad with a minimum purchase of RM60 for POPULAR Card Members, or RM80 for non members in a single receipt (while stocks last). I got one too!
