My Shadow @ Work

Instead of posting yet another sunrise photo, today is a beautiful sunny day and the sun is just bursting through the glass panel of my office, so I decided to take a snapshot of. . . my shadow:

My Shadow

***

Here’s a little bit of update on my trip to Singapore in May for a second invitation to speak in a conference. I’ve made all my travel arrangements – booked the hotel and flights. I arrange them early to lock in the best rates for comfortable budget travelling. I just hope that the conference will happen as planned. All preliminary arrangements have been finalized with the organizer.

I have also made some plans to meet up with former colleagues and friends. The conference will be held for two days, but I will be there for six days (arriving on Tuesday and leaving on Sunday) as I intend to make it my mini vacation too. I love Singapore, by the way. *GRIN*

I have every intention to scout around the used books stalls/shops in Singapore, including the big boys such as Kinokuniya. I never fail to visit Kino each time I go to Singapore.

Here's another thing that I'm looking forward to in the next couple of days: My FIRST PA conference as a speaker on Tuesday, March 3 organized by Marcus Evans! Boy, am I excited and nervous at the same time. . .

Edited to add: I've received an invitation from my former company for an alumni gathering on March 3. This is wonderful because I'll be in KL on that day (after the conference) and will be able to attend right after that!

Do check out Borders if you've the time too. It's one of my favourite bookstores besides Kino. ;P

  9. Alice, Did ever cross in your mind to do a photography workshop dedicated for your blogsphere fans? :-) If so, include me in your list!

By the way, good luck for your speech. I know you will succeed with flying colours. I bet you on that!

  10. Hi Scrap Girl, thanks very much! I thank God for all the opportunities given to me. It's my first time giving a talk at a conference, but as the saying goes, practice makes perfect. :D

Awwww... thanks, Azah! You're always so encouraging. The photography workshop is a great idea, and if I'm really doing it, I'll definitely include you in the list! LOL. Thank you for your faith in me. :D

  12. Cool! That photo looks like a scene from those film noirs during the 1940's. Wishing you the best of luck on your Singapore conference! Go "break a leg"! ;)
Hope you post about some of your Singapore dining experiences. :)

  13. That's really nice, Melody. I sure hope you'll be able to. :)

LOL Garando! You're too funny. I'm now imagining myself in those film noirs. Thanks for the support! I'll definitely post about my Singapore dining experiences IF the restaurants/stalls allow it. I'm going to have to check with my friends there and double-check with the owners. :)

    Thanks, Naida!
