Teaser Tuesdays: The Other Woman

TEASER TUESDAYS asks you to:

  • Grab your current read.
  • Let the book fall open to a random page.
  • Share with us two (2) “teaser” sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12.
  • You also need to share the title of the book that you’re getting your “teaser” from … that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you’ve given!
  • Please avoid spoilers!

Here's page 97 of The Other Woman by Jane Green (the cover shown is not the actual cover for the one I'm reading):

'Shit,' I whisper, over and over, fear and happiness and disbelief all mingling together as a smile starts to spread upon my face. 'What is Dan going to say?'

Hi Monique, so good to see you here and thanks very much for the Butterfly Award! I'm so happy you like my blog and the pictures. I really appreciate it! *GRIN*

Hi Wendy, Julia and Naida, let's just say Dan had a panic attack after that. LOL

Hey Julia, The Other Woman is a chick-lit, and I think you can consider it a romantic comedy. Only thing is that it involves the mother-in-law. Oooh oooh ooooh~~! Another award! I really felt so loved. Thank you! Thank you ALL!

Book Talk

"Books give us pleasure not because they make us comfortable, though some good ones may, but because they entertain us, they make us laugh, they make us cry; they inform, persuade, disturb, convince, seduce us; they make us think, speculate, see - and we recognize what we see as true, not as the truth but as a truth in the writer's fabulous construction that corresponds to what we have observed in ourselves, or others, or in the world at large, or can conceive of observing."
