Booking Through Thursday: The Best?

It’s a week or two later than you’d expect, and it may be almost a trite question, but … what were your favorite books from 2008?

It's never too late to ask this question and it is one that I will never grow tired of. So here's the list of my 15 favourite books (it's so hard to pick just 15!) taken from my earlier post 2008: A Year of Passionate Reading.

Fiction:

  1. Regatta by Libby Purves
  2. Abduction by Wanda L. Dyson
  3. Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman
  4. Coraline by Neil Gaiman
  5. The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman
  6. The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
  7. A Home at the End of the World by Michael Cunningham
  8. Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer
  9. The Haunted Bookshop by Christopher Morley
  10. Gossamer by Lois Lowry

Non-Fiction:

  1. Stupid Ugly Unlucky and Rich by Richard St. John
  2. Pathway to Purpose for Women by Katie Brazelton, Ph.D.
  3. What Got You Here Won't Get You There by Marshall Goldsmith
  4. Chasing Daylight by Eugene O'Kelly
  5. Blogging Heroes by Michael A. Banks
I would love to see your list of favourite books too!

Oh you liked Breaking Dawn enough to list it in your top fav's? I have every book in the Twilight except this. I have mostly read negative reviews about this, so i am pleased to see it in your list :)

I'm glad that Gossamer is on your list, Alice! And once again, thanks for your book! :)

Hi violetcrush, indeed Breaking Dawn made it into list. It was very hard to do because I also wanted a few others to be included but I had to be 'stingy' about it... I hope you will enjoy it. There are mixed review about it.

Hi Melody, it's my pleasure! I hope you will enjoy it. I'm glad Gossamer has found a special home at your place. :D

Hi Nise'! Nice to see you here and thanks for dropping by. I'm glad The Book Thief made it to your favorite list. :)

Thanks, Naida! I can't watch to watch Caroline. I hope it'll come to Malaysia.

Hi Jen! You're right about having read Abduction before I did. I stumbled upon the first one and loved it, so I had to get the second one and it was a nice coincidence to find out that you've read it too. :D

I've been seeing Neil Gaiman on a lot of people's lists. but I am unfamiliar with him. I'll have to look him up!

Hey ALICE! *grin* - Great list! But as always, again, am odd one out. I have not heard or read any of these books.

I hope you have a great day!

Fantastic picks, Alice! I'm happy to see all the Neil Gaiman :D

Hi Barbara! Gaiman writes great fantasy stories. I hope you'll enjoy his books when you do read them.

Julia oh Julia, you odd girl! LOL. But then you're the romance queen and I don't read romance often so that makes me odd, too, because I haven't seen most of the books listed in your blog until then...

Thanks, Nymeth! And I'm happy to read Gaiman! :D

To ALL: Have a lovely weekend!
