Teaser Tuesdays: Christmas Getaway

TEASER TUESDAYS asks you to:

  • Grab your current read.
  • Let the book fall open to a random page.
  • Share with us two (2) “teaser” sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12.
  • You also need to share the title of the book that you’re getting your “teaser” from … that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you’ve given!
  • Please avoid spoilers!

Here's page 47 of Christmas Getaway (a book about "Three women, connected by friendship and fate, are taking cover...with men sexy enough to unwrap!" - back cover) by Anne Stuart, Tina Leonard, and Marion Lennox:

"There's nothing wrong with letting your face show what you've learned in life," he replied. Which made him want to look at her face again, but it was tucked against his chest, so he had to make do with his imagination.

  1. Great teaser, Alice! I really enjoyed reading Anne Stuart's novella. Their 'escapade' had me chuckling... ;)

  3. Me too, Melody. Me too... Shall we proceed to the end of Christmas Getaway? What do you think of the second story?

I finished another book, Summer Lightning while 'in transition' and have enjoyed it. The book's on my 2008 TBR Challenge. I'm putting on hold all book reviews with the hope that I could finish the balance of six books on the list. Currently reading Here Today by the Newberry Honor winner, Ann M. Martin. Half way through it...

And I wanna wish you a Merry Christmas, too, Sheng!

  4. Yay! Let's proceed to the last novella!

Frankly speaking, I still think Anne Stuart's novella the best... or maybe I'm biased, hehe. ;) The second novella lacks the intense and I feel there's not much chemistry between the h/h. What do you think?

  5. Yay! Let's do it!

For me, the second story was not bad but I do agree with you that Anne Stuart's novella is the best so far. I also felt the lack of intensity between the h/h.
