Movie Marathon Day (AND Christmas Goodies)

I had a wonderful day at the 1 Utama Shopping Centre watching two movies (Twilight and Quantum of Solace) back-to-back. First, I made a date with Edward Cullen who is a seventeen-year-old vampire many times over (his real age is about 100 or so). I felt a little aunty-ish because the cinema hall was filled with young people; I'm at least a decade older than them. My next 'appointment' was with (yummy) Daniel Craig as Bond, James Bond.

I booked and paid for the tickets two days ago and collected them today. After that I hanged out at Starbucks and posted the entry for Peacehaven Part 1.

I think Robert Pattinson did a wonderful job as Edward the vampire. He's oozing with charm and I just love the way he treated Bella. I also think that all the characters were well-casted for the movie, except maybe for Rosalie... I love Alice's funky hairstyle (first from the left in the pic below). Parts from the book kept replaying at the same time I watched the movie. Parts such as Edward carrying Bella on his back and zoomed across the forest, Edward stopping a friend's truck that almost killed her with his bare hand, Edward being protective of Bella when James the hunter vampire took 'special interest' in her, and many, many more.

You gotta read the book in order to understand what I'm rambling about. Do go to the movie's official movie site to know more about it (the casts... the trailer... the soundtrack).

And now for something Christmasy... I'm not sure if Christians would be happy that I placed vampires and Christmas together in this post but anyway...

Pressie from Secret Santa! I have been staring at it for a week now but will withstand the temptation to unwrap it until December 25. I'm a good girl, see?

Here's a beautiful Christmas card from Melody of Melody's Reading Corner. Thanks very much, my dear friend!

Tomorrow's a public holiday for the state of Selangor which means I get another day of holiday! WOOT! I only have to work for ONE DAY this week. LOL.
