MEME: Seven Random or Weird Facts About Me
Sam from The Life and Times of Me tagged me for this interesting meme (thanks, Sam!). The rules are:
- Link to the person who tagged you
- Share 7 random and/or weird facts about you
- Tag 7 random people at the end, and include links to their blogs
One: I like to take photos of others but am quite shy when it comes to letting others take mine.
Two: I am often mistaken as a reporter, a photographer, or a person who works in an ad agency (I’m not complaining though). Truth be told, I am a personal assistant (or secretary, executive assistant, whatever else the industry could cook up for the administrative profession).
Three: I have no interest in clothes, shoes or fashion accessories. The shopping I love doing, however, is for books, books, and more books. Ecstasy!
Four: I love doodling, especially when I’m on the phone or daydreaming. Ah yes, I daydream quite a lot.
Five: I don’t own a TV and probably never would. But if I do watch the idiot box, I get very transfixed by it. I’m easily drawn into a story just like when I read. I cry, I weep, I laugh out loud, I let out gasps of horror, nods of approval, and a host of other emotions corresponding with what’s showing. My family said that it’s sometimes fun watching me watch the TV.
Six: I finally overcame my addiction with McDonald’s after their continuous effort to screw up my order, specifically, with their utterly disappointing delivery service. Not once, not twice, but enough times to test my patience. I’m amazed I actually kept paying them RM3 per order to suffer. Here’s the latest McD saga.
Seven: I’m perfectly OK if left alone. In fact, I relish my time alone with my thoughts, my books, and myself. I love to stay at home and do my thing. I like to go to my family’s place just to hang out and enjoy my mom and siblings’ presence. I am not too keen about parties these days. If I do go, I’d want to get in and out as fast as I possibly and politely could. But it’s different though with close friends and colleagues. I guess I’m just a creature of habit and familiarity.
I will not be tagging anyone, but do feel free to play along, either by giving it a shot here in the comments section or lead me to your blog.
Here's another similar post I did in July this year entitled Six Quirky Details about Me. The items are different from the ones I wrote above so there's no repetition.
Great Christmas list, Alice! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd I love reading your answers to the meme. Yep, I love doodling while I'm on the phone too, especially at work, LOL!
And I don't order from McD or any other outlets except for Pizza! I prefer warm food... As for the pizza, they always keep the pizzas into a special bag so it's not so bad.
Now I know why you have time for all your reading and reviews. You dont have the "idiot box"! I should learn from you...but I cant live without "sounds" around me. Hmm
ReplyDeleteWell, there's the 1st weird fact about me for u this Christmas. HAHA!
Thanks, Melody! Say this together now: We love to doodle! LOL. I prefer warm food too. McD is way too disappointing. :(
ReplyDeleteHi FloFlo, now you know... ahahahaa. More weird facts, please!
I love that photo, Alice! So cute!
ReplyDeleteAlthough I am not nearly as skilled a photographer as you, I prefer to be behind the camera rather than in front of it also.
Book shopping is certainly the most rewarding!
I treasure my time alone too. :-)
I can see how you'd be taken for a photographer or reporter!
ReplyDeleteWe sound a lot alike. I enjoy (and even need) alone time, too, and am not too enthused about parties though I usually enjoy them once I get there. But I don't like to stay long.
I fully identify with #7. And I love many of those same things about Christmas too.
ReplyDeleteThat Cuddlez picture is SO adorable :D It's going straight into my lolcats folder.
Thanks, Wendy! Now don't say that... I'm sure with practice, you'd be as good as those who have been at it for years. I'm glad we share similar view about time alone. I think most readers would. :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Barbara, I don't feel so weird anymore now that I know many here also feel the same way about needing time alone. :)
Nymeth, I'm curious to see what's in your LOLcats folder. Heheeeee...
Thanks for playing the tag award I sent you. It was interesting answers. Also interesting about you on the "Seven Weird Fact" about you :)
ReplyDeletefun list! lol about being mistaken for a reporter :)
ReplyDeletei'm still in amazment of you not having a tv, good for you! I wish I could do that.

ReplyDeleteHi Naida! I'm surprised I didn't miss TV at all. LOL
