SPCA (Part 3): The Dog Series

Continued from Part 1 and Part 2 (or see ALL)

Today, the SPCA story continues and in this post are the doggies and puppies. You can see sadness in the adult dogs, but playfulness in the pups. I really hope they will find a good home and caring owner soon. My heart goes all out to them. There are more photos in Facebook.

  2. oh my gosh, those sweet doggies faces.
I feel bad for them, and the older ones most because most people run to adopt the younger puppies.
    poor things.
I want to take that 'sad looking little darling' one for myself.

  3. AWWWWW I love those pictures of the dogs/puppies! They so cute! I wish I could adopt one but it is a no no in my home. I've always want one though :)

And it look like Wing and Nor are having fun meeting up with the animals :) Where are you in those shot? hmmmm?

  6. Those dogs and puppies are adorable. The first photo struck a sad chord in me. It's terrible how some people can just abandon their pets like that. I agree, pets are like children. They deserve love and affection. I hope all the animals there will have a second chance to find happiness.

  8. I hope they find good homes too. Some of them really look very sad :(

    Wonderful pictures, Alice.

  9. Hi Jen, I felt the same way too. Their chances of finding somebody to adopt them is really slim. The worst that could happen to them is to be put to sleep and I really dread to think that. :(

Hi Naida, you're right. Most people will adopt the younger doggies. Ooooh... you're another person who have expressed interest in that goggie. :)

Thanks, Julia! Oh... why isn't pet allowed in your house? Err... my photos were taken by Wing and Ray, but I did not upload them here. Me shy... (ya, right) Hehe...

Jen, that's sweet! Please keep us updated about your new house and pet dog. Those spotted ones are darlings. One of them (the one with large black spot on its right eye) looks like the goggie on the cover of Jonathan Carroll's The Land of Laughs.

Hi Barbara, they're really sweet! :D

Hi Melody, the first doggie really evoke sad emotions. I wish I could adopt all of them. Actually, maybe I could sponsor them if I can't bring them home. That's a thought...

Rachel, I share the same hope that they'll have a second chance at finding happiness. They're supposed to man's best friend, yet 'betrayed' by the very humans they were loyal to.

Wendy, please send my woofs and hugs to Riley too! You're a great fur-mom!

Hi Nymeth, I really hope so too...

  10. Hey...i am writing this comment because the stare of the basset hound on the 6th picture really grabbed my attention. I have a basset hound...seeing that picture I just so want to hug my dog immediately...

    see my dog here.

Yeah, it's sad that people cannot just be responsible pet owners...
I so wish I can take that basset hound home too...where is he based?

  11. Thanks for visiting, Linus! I went to see your basset hound and such a darling your Footstool is! Seeing your assistant 'wrestle' with him (did he do that for real???) really cracked me up.

I wish I have a cat or dog that I could hug. It's just too bad that my hubby does not fancy furry pets in the house. Before I got married, I had lots of furry friends... My advice to friends before they getting married: Check if your potential spouse allow/ban pets. :D
