My Cameras: Nikon D40, Canon Powershots S3 IS and A460

Friends and colleagues have often ask what camera I use for taking my photographs. So today, I'm going to do a special post covering the cameras I use (next time I can just point them to my blog post LOL). Ladies and gentlemen, I present you what I use for my photography hobby (I'm not a freelancer as many thought I am):

Nikon D40 with the standard 18-55mm lens. I bought an additional 18-200mm lens and the SB600 speedlight. It took me almost a year to decide getting a DSLR due to budget reason and I finally took the plunge on April this year. I was yearning for a D80 but decided to settle for this one and add on the accessories. Here's the link to photos taken using D40 on my blog. (Related posts: 1 and 2)

The Canon Powershot S3 IS is my favourite camera before I got the DSLR. Its powerful 12x optical zoom (with Optical Image Stabilization) is what I like best, including the super-macro function. Here's the link to photos taken using S3 IS on my blog.

And lastly, here's the Canon Powershot A460 I use for my day-to-day photos. They're usually food photos I took during lunch and other office occassions. I can't seem to detach myself from my camera, so this smaller gadget is good to follow me around. Here's the link to photos taken using A460 on my blog.

I am currently learning how to do photo post-processing. I'm thrilled to know that Rames, a blog friend will be launching his Photoshop tutorial soon. Can't wait!

Book Talk

"Books give us pleasure not because they make us comfortable, though some good ones may, but because they entertain us, they make us laugh, they make us cry; they inform, persuade, disturb, convince, seduce us; they make us think, speculate, see - and we recognize what we see as true, not as the truth but as a truth in the writer's fabulous construction that corresponds to what we have observed in ourselves, or others, or in the world at large, or can conceive of observing."
