Securely lockedThe Brahminy Kite
The yellow-billed stork peering up at me. I was up on the bridge looking down.
Can you guess what this is?
(Answer: Ostrich foot) Lots of flamingoes
Found one sleeping alone
(It's interesting to see birds sleep standing on one leg) Fiery red hibiscus
Interesting spotting of a branch that looked like an arm with fingers
Ballerina egret
(First it stretched its right leg, then its left, and at the same time spreading its wing) Hungry! It's 2.30 PM and we went to the Hornbill Restaurant for our lunch. Love the cosy ambience and lovely oldies they played there. We continued our bird park walk-and-shoot after our meals.
Nothing beats an icy glass of iced lemon tea
My grilled chicken chop
(Oooops... here I was at the bird park and *gasp* feasting on a bird!) Ray's fried koay teow (or, flat noodles)
Spotted a hornbill outside and abandoned food to take photo of the beautiful bird

What vividly beauitful birds!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing the beautiful photos, Alice. I especially like the one of the egret. And you're making me hungry with the those food photos. It's not even lunchtime here yet!
ReplyDeleteThe Ostrich foot looks so odd! I'd probably have guessed that was a tree root :P
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures, especially the ones of the egret and the flamingoes.
wonderful photos i enjoyed lookingat them
ReplyDeleteJen
What beautiful birds! Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed viewing the pics, Alice!
ReplyDeleteI know my daughter will be excited to see those flamingoes again...we took her to the zoo some time ago and she really enjoyed it!
The pic of the branch looks interesting.
Thanks, Barbara! The birds look even more vivid real life. I just feel that I could stay there all day long enjoying their presence (minus the poo smell LOL).
ReplyDeleteOoo... I have lots of those egret pics. I think I'll upload more into my Facebook. Thanks, Wendy!
Thanks, Nymeth! The ostrich foot was humongous and certainly looks powerful! I dare not think what'd happen to me if I were kicked by an ostrich...
Hi Jen, thanks! Also feel free to use them if your Home Schooler or Little Man wants them. :D
Thanks, Renee and you have a great week ahead too!
Hi Melody, no doubt flamingoes are special birds and pretty too with the unique beak and rosy pink long legs. They do look kind of sexy, dont' they? LOL. As for the branch, it has to be viewed from a certain angle while being there. From another position, it looks just like any other branch... I literally reversed my steps to take a quick photo. :D
To ALL: Have a great week ahead!
Lol, that branch looks like it's beckoning to you! Lovely photos.
ReplyDeleteAnd I did answer its beckoning, Jen. LOL. Thanks very much! Glad you like them.
ReplyDeletehorn bills are so cool!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great series. I love seeing photos of beautiful birds. I think the flamingos and hornbill are amazing birds.
ReplyDeleteYes, Wai Seng, they are! I especially like the 'musketeer' one (second hornbill pic). LOL.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Rachel! Seeing them doing their thing 'live' was even more awesome. :) I truly marvel at God's wonderful creation.
What a lovely and beautiful birds! I love the "shy" bird. And the Ostrich foot look weird but long and big.
ReplyDeleteI'm enjoying your collection of birds shot, Alice. Keep them coming!
Thanks, Julia! Do watch out for more because these feathered friends will be coming your way! In Part 3. Hahaha...
