Kim Gary Once Again

Happy Friday Lunch!

The Place: Kim Gary Restaurant Hong Kong @ Sunway Pyramid
The Gang: Mr Hing, Ms Kang, ‘YingYong’ Irene, Eunis, ‘LaiChar’ PS, and Yours Truly

We were seated outside and had a sweat-inducing lunch - it's hot out there! Before that, there were lots of people waiting for their turn to be seated when we arrived at the restaurant. Irene, Eunis and I decided to go shopping first for some personal stuff after jotting down our orders. The others stayed back to wait. When we returned to Kim Gary, the food arrived as well. What great timing!

‘YingYong’ Irene & ‘LaiChar’ PS’s Stone Grilled Rice Set Ms Kang & Yours Truly’s Fish Fillet HK Style Baked Rice with Cheese
Eunis’ Unagi Seafood Baked Rice

I didn't manage to capture Mr Hing's Abalone and Prawn Combo Set because he dug right into his lunch! (He must be famished...)

Here's wishing all friends a happy weekend!

  2. Hi Melody! I couldn't finished the rice though. It was a set lunch with Iced Ying Yong (coffee plus milk tea), dessert, soup and the main course. Like always, we had a good laugh - that sure helps to aid digestion. LOL.

    Have a great weekend, Melody!

  7. Hi Julia! I had to be quick taking the photos or risk the wrath of the hungry ones. *wink* The food presentation was too nice to be passed so... there you go, I have that three photos to show you all. =)

Wei YinYong, ya lor. The drink was a disappointment. At first I thought it was a wrong order because it didn't taste like how it should be. Hmmm...

Have a great weekend everybody! :D

  8. Well...you know..you gotta be real quick taken those pictures, who don't wanna have your hungry guest growl at you for taken too long with the shot. *grin*

When ever you take pics, do you ever get nervous or worry that the owner of the restaurants (or someone working there) that you goes to might catch you and tell you that taking pics is a no no? What about other non restaurant?

  9. Yes... I am quick to finish with clicking so that peeps can start tucking in into their meals lest them erm... growl at me. For me, it's "aim, shoot" in a very fast manner. ;-)

Maybe I was nervous and worried in the very beginning (long, long time ago) when I started taking food pics. This practice is a norm in Malaysia and Malaysian bloggers love to go for outings, enjoy food and each others' company. So if you google a certain restaurant, you'd see blog entries popping out everywhere. There are, however, restaurants that put up the no-camera signage but I think that's a dumb thing to do... Oh ya, recently in Rakuzen, a Japanese restaurant, the lady came and told me no food pics while I was kinda busy snapping away. It was a kill joy but still, I'm obedient... For this entry, the waiters are hovering around while I snap those pics, so that's OK. :)

As for non-restaurants, retail stores in shopping malls remain a no-no for photos.
