Indonesian Food at Anggrek Kuring

Lunches on Fridays are always the best because we have two full hours to enjoy ourselves!

For today's lunch, Joanne drove us to Anggrek Kuring at Bandar Puteri, Puchong. Joanne and I dined there before, but this would be the first time for Irene-chan and Eunis. We were hoping to catch the owner, Ibu Fungsiwaty (we met her in the last visit) but unfortunately she was not in the restaurant at that time. As always, the food was great. Here are some photos I took:

The restaurant
It sells authentic Indonesian crafts too
The menu
Nasi Uduk
(It tastes like nasi lemak but with less coconut milk)
Nasi Timbel
(Still wrapped up in banana leaf)
Nasi Timbel unwrapped - aromatic and tasty
Tempe
(It tastes sour-ish but still nice)
Can't remember what this is called... but they taste yummy
Now, this is really good. It's called ayam panggang khas (special roasted chicken).
Another delicious dish - the cumi goreng tepung (fried calamari) A common but great dish - the kangkung goreng.
Caution: Cili padi (small chilies) are 'hidden' amongst the leaves so it's spicy!
Fried egg
I hope you've enjoyed the meal with me!
