Geoducks, anyone?

Alice said on June 11, 2007:

Just about 5 months ago, I said something about not eating anything that I can't identify and yesterday night, I had the most interesting seafood dinner with my colleagues. Have you ever tried a
geoduck (pronounced "gooey duck")? Well, I did. Last night. And only two tiny slices because I was too freaked out to eat anything more than that.

This is how it looks like (BEFORE it ends up in the pot):

I was out of the office in the afternoon organizing a brainstorming session in Hilton Hotel, Petaling Jaya. Another colleague of mine went together and she was a great help. The two of us went together in her car. There were all together 15 people in the brainstorming session with my boss chairing it. It ended at 8 PM and we adjourned for dinner.

  3. You're more adventurous than I am. I don't think I could've done it!!

  4. It took me lots of strength to muster enough courage to "just do it" (even if it was just two tiny bites...)

You can either eat it raw or cook it in soup.

  5. Ewww that looks...well, gross. House bunnies are my favorite animals so I clearly won't touch them either ;)

  6. Gross is the right word, Erin. I still can't quite get over the fact that I ate two tiny slices of it...

House bunnies are a no-no to me too.
